Indoor air handler description
The Ruud UHSA series factory matched air handler is the answer to superior heating and cooling performance. For quiet performance and greater comfort in both heating and cooling this air handler simply out-performs the competition.
An air handler is comprised of an evaporator coil and a blower, which circulates cooled or heated air throughout your home. The Ruud UHSA series air handlers are easy to install, and what’s more, they provide years of quiet and dependable operation.
Durable Construction
Standard Ruud air handler quality features include:
Improved air quality
The air handler that is matched with this system is not only among the quietest made but can significantly reduce mold and mildew build-up within the system. Ruud has developed a specially designed drain pan that provides for more complete condensation removal, preventing the build-up of standing water. And, when you add one of our whole-house air cleaners to your system, you will experience a reduction in dust, pollen and other allergens throughout your entire home resulting in a cleaner, healthier, more comfortable home.
Flexible installation Design
The Ruud air handler is versatile and can be installed as an upflow (ductwork above the air handler), downflow (ductwork under the air handler), and horizontally (air handler in an attic, crawlspace, or basement). If you are capable, you can do most of the installation yourself and then set up a service call for a professional to come and open the refrigeration system and check the charge.
Any qualified air conditioning technician can easily install this system in your home or office. It will normally require about 5-8 hours to replace an existing, similar type system.
Indoor Air Handler Features
Under the terms of all manufacturer's warranty and to comply with federal refrigerant handling laws, it is required that the system be checked, started up and signed-off on by a licensed air conditioning/heating contractor prior to use. Failure to comply with this provision will void all factory warranties. Keep a copy of the installation ticket for your records. Please ensure that all supply and return ductwork is properly sized and that a permit is obtained (where required). Always conform with applicable local and state codes. Electrical connections should only be made by a licensed electrical contractor. Unqualified persons should never attempt installation of this or any HVAC system. The Ruud Corporation
A 100-Year Tradition of Reliability More than 100 years ago, Edwin Ruud, a Norwegian mechanical engineer, came to America and developed the first successful automatic water heater. That early success marked the beginning of a tradition of innovation and value that led to the introduction of RUUD heating and air conditioning equipment in the 1950s. Since then, the RUUD Air Conditioning Division has grown into one of North America's largest manufacturers of quality cooling and heating products for residential and light commercial use. Today, RUUD operates two manufacturing facilities in Arkansas and Georgia - both employing highly trained workers and state-of-the-art equipment. These facilities offer more than two million combined square feet of manufacturing, research and development, and office space. Over the years, the product lines have expanded, changed, and improved significantly as new design techniques and better manufacturing technologies have become available. What remains unchanged throughout RUUD's history is their commitment to producing the most reliable, long-lasting, efficient equipment you can buy. COMPONENT
