The Environmentally-Friendly R-410a Refrigerant provides additional peace of mind because your new system won't harm the environment and meets the standards set by the federal government. The cost of service will potentially be reduced in the future as older refrigerants (R-22) are gradually phased out through federally legislated production limitations.
Two-Stage Cooling Function means that your system will spend about 80% of the time operating in low-speed cooling, The system will operate for longer periods in a super efficient mode resulting in lower operating noise, better humidity control, and less variation in temperature throughout your home. You will experience comfort like never before.
Make An Investment In Savings With Efficient performance
The Rheem super efficient air conditioners feature SEER ratings of 16, making it one the most energy efficient choices for home comfort. Compared with a 15 year old system, you could save up to 55% on your energy bill.
Here's a savings example for a 3 ton system:
Annual operating costs for a 15 year old, 8 SEER system--$810.00*
Annual operating costs for a Rheem 16 SEER system---$396.00*
If you live in very warm climate your savings could be even greater.
SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. SEER gives an indication of the energy efficiency of the system. The higher the SEER, the more efficient the unit. And, the more efficient the unit, the lower your energy costs.
When you purchase a system with a high SEER, you'll use less energy to cool your house, resulting in lower electric bills. In many cases, these savings are enough to partially or fully offset the cost of the new equipment within a few years.

The Rheem Corporation
Rheem Manufacturing Company was established in the mid-1920s when brothers Richard and Donald Rheem acquired a galvanizing plant in San Francisco, California. In the 1930's, Rheem began manufacturing water heaters, and by 1936 had coast to coast distribution.
During the 1940s and 1950s, the company increased its product line to include space heating units for homes, oil furnaces and air conditioners.
In 1959, Rheem acquired Ruud Manufacturing Company, a pioneer in the water heating industry with a well-regarded product line and a distribution network throughout North America.
In subsequent years, Rheem entered the heating and air conditioning market and expanded in the late 1960's and 1970's with the rapid growth of the central air conditioning industry.
In 1985, the company acquired Raypak, a leading producer of copper tube boilers used for swimming pool heating and commercial hot water supply and hydronic heating.

The RBHM series factory matched Rheem variable speed air handler is the answer to superior heating and cooling performance. For quiet performance, improved humidity control and greater comfort in both heating and cooling this air handler simply out- performs the competition
A variable speed air handler is dramatically different from a standard air handler in that it features the high efficiency Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM) by General Electric.
The Rheem RBHM series variable speed air handler provides whisper-quiet air delivery thanks to the General Electric variable speed DC motor.By “ramping up” slowly at startup, this motor completely eliminates the harsh “impact” noises created by full speed startup in ordinary air handlers.
This “soft start” significantly reduces fan and motor noise so you can rest easy. You simply can't buy a quieter air handler. Best of all, this air handler functions automatically - No adjustments or controls to fiddle with. Just set your thermostat and walk away. The air handler senses the optimum operating parameters while you and your family enjoy the performance that only variable speed technology can provide.
Less Really Is More because the ECM Motor enhances performance because full air delivery is only needed a small portion of the time.
During lower demand times this motor reduces its speed, providing up to 4 times better humidity control, better air distribution throughout your home, and greatly reduced operating costs.
Better air distribution will provide a marked improvement in those areas of your home where air delivery has been a problem, such as the rooms farthest from the air handler.
Say Goodbye To Drafts with the Rheem variable speed air handler (when purchased with optional electric heating element). Wintertime drafts are caused by what is referred to as "cold blow," or the cold blast of air upon heating startup.
"Cold blow" results from cold air that develops in the duct system while the heat is in an off-cycle. When the air handler heater fan cycles on, this cold air is moved very quickly into your home, resulting in an uncomfortable draft.
This Rheem variable speed air handler virtually eliminates cold blow with a "soft start," or a gradual increase in fan speed over the initial 3 to 4 minutes of the on-cycle. This cold air is combined with preheated air from the air handler blower and is delivered at a slower velocity until it reaches full operating temperature.
Improved heating comfort and a dramatic reduction of the uncomfortable drafts associated with non-variable speed air handlers.

The Rheem variable speed air handler that is factory matched with this system is not only among the quietest made but can significantly reduce cooling-mode humidity levels in your home. And, when you add one of our whole-house air cleaners to your system, you will experience a reduction in dust, pollen and other allergens throughout your entire home resulting in a cleaner, healthier, more comfortable home.
The Rheem variable speed air handler is versatile and can be installed as an upflow (ductwork above the air handler), downflow (ductwork under the air handler), and horizontally (air handler in an attic, crawlspace, or basement).
If you are capable, you can do most of the installation yourself and then set up a service call for a professional to come and open the refrigeration system and check the charge.
Any qualified air conditioning technician can install this system in your home or office. It will normally require about 5-8 hours to replace an existing, similar type system.
