Designed with installation ease in mind
When Ruud engineers and product development teams finished the design, they traveled throughout North America asking for feedback from contractors on how to improve on the package unit design concept. The contractors provided many suggestions for installation and service-friendly design enhancements, and those changes were quickly incorporated into the final product design. Ruud has designed this package air conditioner for ground level or rooftop installation with a side-by-side supply and return duct configuration. It can be installed in mobile or modular homes, on flat rooftops, or any home with an open crawl space. Any qualified air conditioning technician can easily install this equipment in your home or office. It will normally require about 4-6 hours to replace an existing, similar type system. For you do-it-yourselfers replacing an existing package unit, simply connect your existing supply and return ducts along with the electrical connections, and the installation is complete . Only a qualified electrician should make the electrical connections and to validate the warranty you must have the system started up and checked by a licensed heating and cooling contractor. We don't believe you'll find a better combination of quality and value in package heat pump units anywhere, at any price. A 100-Year Tradition of Reliability More than 100 years ago, Edwin Ruud, a Norwegian mechanical engineer, came to America and developed the first successful automatic water heater. That early success marked the beginning of a tradition of innovation and value that led to the introduction of RUUD heating and air conditioning equipment in the 1950s. Since then, the RUUD Air Conditioning Division has grown into one of North America's largest manufacturers of quality cooling and heating products for residential and light commercial use. Today, RUUD operates two manufacturing facilities in Arkansas and Georgia - both employing highly trained workers and state-of-the-art equipment. These facilities offer more than two million combined square feet of manufacturing, research and development, and office space. Over the years, the product lines have expanded, changed, and improved significantly as new design techniques and better manufacturing technologies have become available. What remains unchanged throughout RUUD's history is their commitment to producing the most reliable, long-lasting, efficient equipment you can buy. HERE IS YOUR WARRANTY COVERAGE! COMPONENT
