The Intertherm MG2S Series Gas Furnace provides two-stage heating for compatible manufactured and mobile homes. Rather than operating at full heating output during every cycle, two-stage operation allows the furnace to use a lower heating stage when conditions permit and increase output when more heat is needed.

MG2S furnaces offer up to 96% AFUE with nominal input capacities from 45,000 to 72,000 BTU. Front-return and top-return models are available with an integrated coil cabinet, helping installers match the furnace to the home’s return-air layout and compatible central-cooling components.

Two kit sizes are available, but they are not universally interchangeable. Model 904952 uses a 2-inch connection and is listed for compatible MG2R and MG3P furnaces. Model 904953 uses a 3-inch connection and is listed for compatible MG2R, MG2S and MG3P furnaces. Final sizing depends on the furnace model, vent length, number of fittings and installation requirements.

Unlike a cooling-only evaporator coil, this model supports refrigerant heat transfer during both summer cooling and heat-pump heating operation.

Intertherm continues the factory-built home HVAC legacy previously associated with the Revolv name. This vertical A-coil combines micro-channel construction with a factory-installed TXV to manage R454B refrigerant flow, helping an approved matched heat-pump system provide dependable year-round comfort.
