Start with the installer
If a new system does not run correctly right after installation, the first step is to have a licensed professional diagnose the problem. Many initial issues are not a failed part at all. They come from an improper adjustment, a wiring detail, a thermostat setting, or a startup step that needs correcting. The installer who set up the system is the right person to review the work and confirm everything was connected and configured as the manufacturer intended.
If a part actually failed
When a contractor confirms that a covered component failed, that part is handled under the original factory warranty. The contractor identifies the specific part and claims it through the manufacturer warranty or an authorized distributor for your brand. This is the standard path for Goodman, MRCOOL, ACiQ, Mitsubishi, Daikin, and other brands AC Direct carries. The manufacturer supplies the covered part, and labor to install it is billed separately by your contractor.
What AC Direct can and cannot do
AC Direct sells and ships complete HVAC equipment. We do not install, service, or repair systems, and we do not stock, supply, or replace parts. If a covered part fails, our support team can point you to the manufacturer warranty process and confirm the details of the equipment you purchased so your contractor can file the claim correctly.
| Situation | Who handles it |
