When using a mini split sizing calculator for rooms below a conditioned space, apply an additional .7 factor to your final Btu outcome.
For example, if your Btu requirement via this calculator is 18,000 Btu's: 18,000 Btu's x .7 factor = 12,600 Btu's required. When in doubt, it is okay to go up a size or two. MUZ-WX12NL Overview
The MUZ-WX12NL is an outdoor unit for Mitsubishi’s wall-mounted air systems. It can cool and heat spaces up to 12,000 BTU/H, making it great for homes and businesses. It runs quietly, uses energy efficiently, and is built to last.

- Blue Fin Coating: An anti-corrosion treatment applied to the aluminum fins of the heat exchanger of the outdoor unit to protect against corrosion caused by salt, sulfur, and other airborne contaminants, especially in coastal and industrial areas.
- INVERTER-driven compressor: An inverter-driven compressor generates the precise capacity needed to maintain a temperature set point.
- Powered by Outdoor Unit: The outdoor unit powers the indoor unit, and should a power outage occur, the system is automatically restarted when power returns

MSZ-WX12NL Overview
This slim mini split indoor wall-mounted air handler works with a single-zone outdoor unit. It's very quiet and doesn't need ducts. It's great for making your home more energy-efficient and reducing your carbon footprint. It also has an energy-saving feature that adjusts the airflow to save power.

Who installs the AC unit after I purchase it?
ACDirect does not yet provide installation services directly. However, most of our customers successfully arrange installation through local licensed HVAC contractors. These systems are designed for professional installation and typically include the components your installer will need.

- Use platforms like Angi, Thumbtack, or a local HVAC directory to find reliable professionals
- Confirm your installer is experienced with the system type you’re purchasing

Please be aware if you choose to install HVAC equipment yourself and don’t possess proper HVAC licensing, you will void the manufacturer’s factory warranty. If you are capable of a factory-compliant installation yourself, you will need a licensed HVAC contractor to sign off on your work, fully confirming factory-compliant workmanship.
