Check with your local municipality in advance or submit the drawing we provide to your local code enforcement agency for approval if you are unsure of specific codes that govern the type of ductwork and all materials called for in the design as well as the actual design itself.

We do not guarantee any or all materials we ship are in compliance with your specific local codes. That is the responsibility of the customer to inform us after the order is placed or soon thereafter. These codes vary by zip code, city, county, and state and they change or are updated from time-to time.

Who installs the AC unit after I purchase it?

ACDirect does not yet provide installation services directly. However, most of our customers successfully arrange installation through local licensed HVAC contractors. These systems are designed for professional installation and typically include the components your installer will need.

Here’s how it works:

• Hire a licensed HVAC technician in your area
• Use platforms like Angi, Thumbtack, or a local HVAC directory to find reliable professionals
• Confirm your installer is experienced with the system type you’re purchasing

Note:

Please be aware if you choose to install HVAC equipment yourself and don’t possess proper HVAC licensing, you will void the manufacturer’s factory warranty. If you are capable of a factory-compliant installation yourself, you will need a licensed HVAC contractor to sign off on your work, fully confirming factory-compliant workmanship.
